On behalf of Zoë, Coullah and Finn ... Merry Christmas!

With a dog in your life, Christmas is that much better.

Sleep in heavenly peace... sleep in heavenly peace

It's Christmas Eve! Peace on Earth (and in the kitchen too...)

After a long day of playing outside in the snow, Coullah and Finn are ready for a quiet Christmas Eve

The Blues support our Boys in Blue Too!

This year, Zoë, Coullah and Finn decided to give back.  After careful consideration, it was decided that we would purchase a 2017 Calendar from the Durham Regional Police K-9 Unit.  Proceeds from the 2017 calendar will help support the Alzheimer Society, Autism Ontario and The Animal Guardian Society (TAGS) of Durham. Although, we are not located in this part of Ontario, the calendar produced by this group year after year is fantastic - and giving back to the Community to three great groups is the icing on the cake!

Finn was able to relax now that his K-9 Unit Calendar has arrived

Countdown to Christmas!

The snow has arrived and that means great fun for the Blues!  From now until December 25th, I'll post some great winter fun with the wee doggies!

So, here's today's photo...

Introducing our newest family member...

Many would shake their heads and claim that we were completely nuts for even considering yet another dog.  But we have never been too worried about what others think.  We forged ahead with our plan, without having a timeline in mind - but when I met this guy, it was love at first cuddle....

Our new boy was born April 22, 2015.  He is the son of `Dapper`and `Arine`.... and for Erika... he is `Puppy Number 5`.   Temperment:  Wow!!  Absolutely spectacular!!  Zoë and Coullah are wonderful, but Finn is the sweetest, most affectionate dog EVER!  He takes snuggles seriously and loves curling up on the sofa with us, giving gentle kisses and will follow Kypros and I everywhere.  He is beautifully obedient (shout out to Katelyn for all her work!).  We think that we`ll take him for more classes and perhaps he can become a CKC Canine Good Neighbour!  He certainly has the smarts for it!

His name:  Well... it WAS Travers.  But we changed it to `Finn`.  He started coming to his new name on his second day with us... and no, he wasn`t coming to `Finn, Come` just plain old Finn.

Love at first snuggle - 2015

Annual Picardy Picnic - September 2015

On the move at Brighthope!

His new sisters:  Well, that has gone very, very well.  Zoë and Coullah are very easy-going dogs and have made their new `bro`feel very welcome.  All is good - as evidenced below..

Our Finn today!  So handsome... just like his Daddy....

Lucky Number 7

This past week, we marked a cornerstone with our Blues.  On May 25, we celebrated Zoë's 7th Birthday!!

It doesn't seem like it was that long ago that we brought home "Nola's New Life".  We had no idea how she would change our lives.  Those very active puppy years have gone and our Zoë has matured in to a beautiful, sweet dog with a heart of gold and an unbelievable happy spirit.

We love you Zoë!  You are and always be "our dear girl"

PS:  A big birthday shout out to all the 2009 pups in the Suede/Nola litter - especially Remi and Henry.

Goofy Coullah and a BPS Club Thank you!

...To everyone who ordered the 2016 Blue Picardy Spaniel Calendar.  It is so gratifying to get our little calendar out year after year.  This year was indeed a challenge, but hope that the results were well worth it.  Again, apologies to everyone.  Your patience was - and is, appreciated.

So, it's now 2016.  It seems like Coullah's New Year's Resolution is to lighten up a little and show her comic side!  Not usually one for 'props', she wouldn't let go of her chewy bone - I couldn't resist adding my scarf!
